Helen Elvin, Elvin Crafts I have a degree in Geography and post grad certificate in Education. I have two grown up children and was a Primary school teacher for 10 years. I then worked for 5 years as an environmental education officer at Groundwork Trust running projects on local environment and heritage. I am a qualified Forest schools practitioner and leader working with local school groups in West Cumbria. I work in local school on grounds and art projects such as sound walks and wildlife inspired murals.I am currently a Coppice work apprentice with particular interest in regenerating neglected coppice woods. I deliver woodland craft courses in willow weaving, stick furniture and carving for all ages and abilities.

Hannah Ehlert, timbertales – each tree tells a story I have a German MA Degree in environmental planning and ecology. I wrote my dissertation about `Creative Learning in Environmental Education´. After working on organic farms and in Public Relations for an agency dealing with sustainability issues, I completed a Coppice Craft and Greenwood Work apprenticeship.
Throughout my career path I have been working a lot with groups, with a special interest in individual empowerment and group dynamics.I have longterm experience as a facilitator and workshop leader. Topics range from environmental and ecology themes, communication and assisting and running Woodland Craft Workshops for the last three years. I deliver courses in spoon carving, Swedish carving with axe and knife, bentstick hazel trellis making or stick chairs. On shows and fairs I often deliver units working with children on workshops like natural fibres/string making, weaving, small wooden toys. I am a qualified first aider, and experienced to work safely in the outdoor environment with groups of varying ages, abilities and needs. |
